Yannick Armati

Yannick Armati is a skilled engineer specializing in mechanical engineering, with a strong background in robotics and medical technology. Currently serving as a Drone Research Engineer at the UZH Department of Informatics since October 2024, Yannick previously worked at Bucher Leichtbau AG as a Development Engineer, focusing on the design and development of medical interior components for rescue helicopters. Experience includes a Master Thesis Project at Festo, where Yannick studied and developed electromagnetic actuation systems for modular joints in collaboration with the Soft Robotics Lab at ETH Zurich, as well as an internship involving research and development of Robotic Soft Fingers for food production applications. Additionally, Yannick has served as a Teaching Assistant at ETH Zurich, providing guidance in a practical workshop on vibrations in mechanical systems, and has completed a workshop training in the assembly of industrial gas compressors.
