Kandace Hamilton J.d. (She/Her)

Kandace Hamilton, J.D. has a diverse background in compliance, inclusion, and diversity work. Starting in 2009, they served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Fortieth Judicial District Court. From 2012 to 2018, they worked at Tulane University as an Associate Director/Investigator in the Office of Institutional Equity. During their time there, they conducted over 250 investigations and provided recommendations for EEO and anti-discrimination complaints. Kandace also conducted interactive training sessions for employees and students.

In 2018, Hamilton moved on to become the Director of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion at Jacksonville State University. In this role, they managed all programming related to diversity and inclusion and investigated harassment and discrimination complaints. Kandace also conducted training sessions for faculty, staff, and new hires.

Most recently, Hamilton served as the Director of Compliance and Inclusion at Buffalo Rock Company. In this leadership position, they led compliance policies and procedures for a large workforce and conducted numerous workplace investigations, including high-profile cases. Kandace also expanded the talent pool through partnerships and relationship building with local schools and the Hispanic community.

Kandace Hamilton, J.D., graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in History and Political Science from Birmingham-Southern College from 2002 to 2006. Kandace then attended Loyola University New Orleans College of Law from 2006 to 2009, where they obtained a Juris Doctorate degree in Common law. Kandace Hamilton also holds additional certifications, including a Louisiana State Bar License obtained in October 2009 from the Louisiana Supreme Court. Kandace has a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate, institution obtained and year not specified.
