Brian Costanzo

Brian Costanzo is the current Director of School & Community Partnerships at BUILD. Prior to their current position, Brian was the President & CEO of SOCAP International from January 2016 to July 2018. In their role as President & CEO, Brian provided executive-level leadership and strategic direction for the organization. Brian was also responsible for conducting a full technology needs assessment and building the financial strength of the $2M organization.

Under Brian's leadership, SOCAP International introduced a new membership and marketing campaign consisting of member insights, member journey mapping, a data analytics tool, social media, SEO, SEM, and Google analytics components. This campaign resulted in a 31% year-over-year increase in membership. Brian also championed the strategic planning and business model processes that led to the organization's return to profitability. In 2017, they achieved the budget by launching two new profitable events, securing $100K in new sponsorship, two new in-kind partnerships, and implementing over $75K in cost saving measures. Finally, Brian instilled a new focus on member value and fostered partnerships with Gallup, BBB, and other key organizations. As a result of these efforts, SOCAP International achieved a high net-promoter rating of 54.

Brian Costanzo has a BS in Hotel Administration from the University of Nevada Las Vegas and an AS in Hotel and Restaurant Management from City College of San Francisco. Brian also has a certification from ASAE: The Center for Association Leadership in Certified Association Executuve.

Brian Costanzo reports to Ayele Shakur, CEO. They work with Karleton Thomas - Regional Executive Director, DC, Ryan Oliver - Regional Executive Director, Bay Area & LA, and Ed Wilson - Director, Philanthropy.
