Idzard Van Eeghen has a diverse work experience spanning different companies and roles. Idzard is currently employed as the Chief Financial Officer at bunq since February 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of Chief Finance and Risk Officer at bunq from May 2018 to January 2023. Idzard also served as the CRO at bunq from May 2020 to February 2021.

Prior to that, they were the Chief Risk Officer and Member of the Managing Board of RBS N.V. from April 2014 to August 2015. Additionally, Idzard held the position of Head of Risk Office at RBS NV from February 2010 to March 2014.
Idzard's earlier experience includes working at ABNAMRO Bank from 2003 to 2010. Idzard held the position of Head of Integrated Risk Management, where they were responsible for various risk management functions. Idzard was also the Head of Credit Ratings & Portfolio Management at ABNAMRO from January 2003 to May 2007.
In their early career, Idzard worked at ABNAMRO as Vice President Structured Finance. Idzard was involved in developing, selling, and executing structured transactions for Dutch corporates and Public Sector entities, including the creation of the first public Dutch Film CV "The Little Vampire."
Overall, Idzard Van Eeghen has extensive experience in financial and risk management, with a strong background in banking and leadership roles.
Idzard Van Eeghen completed their Master's degree in Economics from the University of Groningen, a five-year program that took place from 1978 to 1983. Later in their education, they pursued a degree in Financial Economics, earning a Master of Financial Administration (MFA) from TIAS School for Business and Society. This program lasted from 1989 to 1991.
