Michele Mucia

Michele Mucia has a diverse work experience spanning from teaching to sales and business development. Michele started their career as a teacher in 2005, working at both Moravia School District and Central School District. In 2006, they transitioned to a business development role at Cintas, where they managed sales territories and marketed NEC 70E Compliance to manufacturing facilities and steel plants. Michele also worked as a Regional Fire & Life Safety Sales Consultant at Tyco SimplexGrinnell, where they educated CFOs and building engineers on fire code compliance measures. Michele later joined Telgian as a National Sales Manager for healthcare GPO, achieving 250 percent of quota and receiving the Presidents Club Award. At Siemens, Michele served as a Senior Enterprise Client Manager, developing Joint Commission programs and managing P&L for 60 branch offices. Michele then moved to Johnson Controls as a National Business Development Manager in healthcare, driving P&L growth and implementing safety programs with healthcare IDN customers. Prior to their current role as Vice President of Sales Americas-Healthcare Asset Management at Bureau Veritas Group, Michele was the National Healthcare Sales Leader at Automated Logic Corporation. Michele Mucia has a diverse education history. Michele completed a Certificate Program in Healthcare Regulatory Compliance from the Certified Accreditation Hospital Professional Certification CIHQ in 2014-2015. In 2013, they earned a CHSP- Certificate of Healthcare Safety Professional from HESNI- Healthcare Engineering Society of Northern Illinois.

In 2003-2005, Michele obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Childhood Education from the State University of New York at Cortland. Michele also earned another Bachelor of Science degree in Education/English from the same university during the same time period.

Michele pursued an Associates degree in Liberal Arts from Cayuga Community College in 2002-2003, and also obtained an A.S. & A.A.S. in Liberal Arts & Retail Business Management from Cayuga County Community College in 2001-2003.

Michele's ongoing education includes being a member of the NFPA Life Safety Code 101 & 5000 Committee, where they focus on fire life safety. Michele is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Facilities Healthcare Engineering (MS) from Purdue University, specializing in healthcare construction engineering. Additionally, they have expertise in code writing for acute care hospitals, having training from NFPA as the Principal NFPA 99 Healthcare Facilities Fundamentals & NFPA 101 Life Safety Code Alternate in 2015.
