Kate Earnest

Kate Earnest has extensive experience in arts administration and development, currently serving as the Director of Annual Giving at Burgundy Farm Country Day School since August 2022. Previously, Kate held multiple roles at the Smithsonian American Art Museum from July 2013 to July 2022, including Director of Special Projects and Senior Corporate and Foundation Relations Officer. Prior to that, Kate worked at the Corcoran Gallery of Art as Associate Director of Corporate & Foundation Relations from November 2007 to June 2013. Kate's early career included positions at Sotheby's, where responsibilities included Marketing Coordinator and Senior Manager from 2002 to September 2007. Educationally, Kate completed the Emerging Leaders Development Program at the Smithsonian Institution in 2018, attended the Museum Leadership Institute in 2015, and earned a BA in Art History from James Madison University in 2002.
