Javier Segovia

Javier Segovia has extensive experience in growing tech businesses, particularly in the areas of smart mobility, smart cities, robotics, last mile automation, IoT, mobile, ecommerce/retail, fintech, food tech, and sustainability. Javier founded Mirador Tech in 2015 and served as a Fractional CXO, Board member, and Angel investor, focusing on startups shaping the future of smart and sustainable cities. Javier has a strong expertise in digital platforms and B2B2C business models.

In addition to Mirador Tech, Javier has held various roles in other companies. Javier served as the Chief Strategy Officer at Burq starting in August 2022, where they continue to contribute as an investor and advisor. Javier also invested in and advised smoodi, a company that leverages automation and IoT technology to provide a premium smoothie-making experience. Furthermore, Javier serves as an advisor for Conjure, a role that began in November 2022.

Javier has also been involved in the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Javier was an Entrepreneur In Residence at Harvard Business School since August 2017, where they educated and supported student-entrepreneurs with their startup ventures. Javier has also been a Lead Mentor at Techstars since January 2017, providing guidance to entrepreneurs in the accelerator program.

As an investor, Javier is affiliated with TBD Angels since July 2021. Additionally, they serve as a Strategic Advisor for Innovusion, a leading developer of LiDAR sensor systems, and NextDroid, a company that helps automakers develop safe autonomous driving systems while reducing costs.

Most recently, Javier joined Robomart as the Chief Commercial Officer in November 2021. Robomart is a cashierless commerce and last mile tech company that offers a fast and convenient delivery service.

Javier Segovia obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1989 to 1993. Following that, they pursued a Master's Degree in the same field at Stanford University, which they completed from 1993 to 1995. Javier furthered their education by attending the Harvard Business School, where they earned an MBA specializing in Technology & Entrepreneurship from 2000 to 2002.
