Jonathan Karl

Jonathan Karl is an experienced Senior Research Associate and Data Scientist at Busara, where current projects include a large-scale RCT focused on misinformation regarding the HPV vaccine, involving over 15,000 participants and a team of more than 100 staff members. In addition, Jonathan co-founded and serves as CEO of Icycle, a company dedicated to creating glasses from 100% recycled plastic to address plastic pollution. Previous roles include research assistance at the London School of Economics, where Jonathan analyzed electoral data in sub-Saharan Africa, and internships that provided insights into data modeling and AI technology. Jonathan holds an MSc in Applied Social Data Science from the London School of Economics and a BASc in Global Sustainable Development with Business Studies from the University of Warwick.
