Andy Santangelo

Andy Santangelo has extensive experience in treasury management and cash management roles. Andy is currently the Executive Vice President and Director of Treasury Management at Busey since October 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Treasury Management Executive at Busey from January 2021.

Before joining Busey, Andy worked at First Midwest Bank as the Vice President - Treasury Operations Manager from February 2017 to October 2020. In this role, they managed Treasury Management, Wire Transfer, and Lockbox Operations, overseeing a team of 3 managers and 32 employees. Andy was responsible for monthly reporting, budgeting, SLAs, and department metrics. Andy successfully improved processes and made them more efficient and trackable.

Earlier in their career, Andy served as the Senior Vice President/Cash Management/Product Management at Standard Bank and Trust Co. from September 1998 to February 2017. As the head of the Cash Management Department, they led various products such as Remote Deposit Capture, Corporate Online Banking, ACH Origination, Merchant Services, Payroll Services, Lockbox Services, Credit, and Debit Cards.

Andy Santangelo attended Tinley Park High School from 1986 to 1990. Following this, they enrolled at Northern Illinois University from 1990 to 1994, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Political Science and Government.
