Mike Nitchman

VP of Network Operations at Business Information Group, Inc.

Mike Nitchman, Vice President of Network and Security Operations, began his career at Business Information Group (BIG) in November of 2000. Throughout the last 20 years, he has seen BIG grow into a respected provider of network services, employing over 100 employees. With that, comes decades of knowledge and expertise required to lead his networking and security team of 26 talented and dedicated technical professionals. As the Vice President of Network and Security Operations, Mike oversees and enforces the networking and security strategy, reviews sales opportunities and serves as a liaison between Sales and Networking, and also advises clients and provides best practices, associated risks, and strategic plans accordingly. Mike has over 30 years of experience designing and implementing network solutions.

He began his career in 1987 as a computer tech at Softsupport Computer Store. During that time, Mike started the computer enthusiasts club, White Rose 1BM Computer Enthusiasts (WRICE), an outlet for local users to collaborate and learn about technology. In 1988, Mike ventured into database programming, writing several programs used by independent truck drivers to keep track of fuel mileage and trips. Thus, began his personal computer consulting business. From 1990-1995, Mike started as a Network Technician for Computer Resources of America and later became Service Manager where he oversaw a team of network technicians and engineers, while earning several certifications. In 1995, NetVision was formed, primarily focusing on networking services for small and medium sized businesses. Mike is a member of the Rotary Club of York and serves on the Membership Committee.
