Melissa Murphy

Melissa Murphy has extensive experience in economic and community development, currently serving as a Business Recruitment Officer, Industrial Lands Specialist, and Regional Development Officer at Business Oregon since July 2013. Prior to this, Melissa held the position of Regional Coordinator, focusing on infrastructure needs. From January 2010 to March 2013, Melissa worked as a Socioeconomic Analyst at the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, where responsibilities included developing data collection methods to analyze the economic and socio-cultural impacts of marine reserves. Earlier roles included Skateboard Marketing & Team Manager at SAVIER, Inc. and Action Sports Marketing Manager at Vans. Melissa holds a Master of Science in Marine Resource Management and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Economics & Policy Management from Oregon State University, supplemented by an Associate of Arts in Environmental Science from Portland Community College.
