Darrel Popowich

Darrel Popowich has extensive work experience in various leadership roles and positions in the technology and business sectors.

From 1998 to 1999, they worked as a PM Analyst at the City of Calgary.

In 1999, they joined TransAlta, where they held multiple roles including Systems Analyst, Supervisor of IT Support, Manager of IT Business Operations & Governance, and Manager of IT Enterprise Services.

In 2011, they joined H&R Block Canada as the Vice President of Information Technology, a position they held until 2019.

In 2016, they became a Board Member and BRMI Executive Council Member at the Business Relationship Management Institute (BRM Institute).

In 2019, they joined Online Business Systems as the Managing Director, a role they held until 2023. Currently, they serve as the Chief Visionary Officer & COO at the BRM Institute.

Darrel Popowich completed a Bachelor of Applied Information Systems Technology at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) from 1997 to 1999. Prior to that, from 1995 to 1997, they obtained an Information Systems Diploma from Mount Royal University.
