Ellen Bassuk

Ellen Bassuk is a highly accomplished psychiatrist, founder, and owner with extensive experience in addressing homelessness and supporting vulnerable populations. As the founder of The Bassuk Center on Homeless and Vulnerable Children & Youth since September 2015 and owner of the Center for Social Innovation since 2006, Ellen leads initiatives to improve the lives of at-risk communities. Previously, Ellen served as the founder and former president of the National Center on Family Homelessness from 1988 to 2012. Ellen's academic background includes an MD from Tufts University School of Medicine (1964-1968) and a BA in History from Brandeis University (1961-1965).
