Sonrisa Chen

Sonrisa Chen has over 10 years of work experience. Sonrisa began their professional career in 2011 as an Architecture Student at Syracuse University. In 2014, they completed a Summer Internship at Callison China. In 2015, they worked as a Summer Intern at KPF. In 2016, they worked as a Project Assistant at Hazens Group, USA. In 2017, they worked as a Software Engineering Associate Instructor at Hack Reactor. From 2018 to 2021, they worked as a Software Engineer Intern, Software Engineer, and Senior Software Engineer at DroneDeploy. Currently, they are a Senior Software Engineer at Cadence.

Sonrisa Chen received their high school diploma from Saint Johnsbury Academy in Vermont in 2011. Sonrisa then attended Syracuse University and obtained their Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) in 2016. During their time at Syracuse University, they also attended Cornell Summer Program twice, once with no field of study and once with a focus on Architecture. After graduating from Syracuse, Sonrisa Chen attended Hack Reactor for Full Stack Software Engineering. Additionally, they obtained their LEED AP BD+C certification in July 2016.
