Pierre-Yves Mathonet

Pierre-Yves Mathonet currently serves as the Executive Director of Enterprise Risk Management at Mubadala since May 2024. With extensive experience in finance and investment, Pierre-Yves has held significant roles including author and reviewer of the CAIA Official Curriculum and a member of the Private Equity and Venture Capital Curriculum Subcommittee for the CAIA Association since 2006. Pierre-Yves was also a member of the Research Council and the Board of Directors at the Institute for Private Capital. Prior to their current roles, Pierre-Yves was the Head of the Risk & Research team in the Private Equities Department at ADIA from 2012 to 2023, and the Head of Risk Management for the Private Equity Division at the European Investment Fund from 2001 to 2012. Pierre-Yves has contributed to academia as a Course Director at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, and has held advisory positions at Bain & Company and Ali & Sons Holding LLC. Pierre-Yves holds a Master’s degree in Finance from Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management and has completed an MIFFT at London Business School, with ongoing executive development at INSEAD.
