Jake MacConnell

Jake MacConnell has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Jake started as a Busser at Waterwheel Tavern in 2016, where they also worked as a fry cook and assisted in running brunch. In 2019, they joined Wawa, Inc. as a Customer Service Associate, where they trained new employees and handled various hands-on problems efficiently. Jake then worked as a Podcast Producer at KCPR FM Cal Poly Radio in 2021.

In 2022, Jake held multiple positions simultaneously. Jake worked as a Shift Lead at Capriotti's Sandwich Shop and as an AM Preloader at UPS. Jake also had roles at Cal Poly University Graphic Systems, where they served as the General Manager, managing a team of student managers, scheduling shifts, and handling inventory and billing. Additionally, they worked as a Specialty Department Intern, contributing to specialty printing production and observing standard operating procedures.

In 2023, Jake continued to expand their experience. Jake served as the Financial Director at UX Fest SLO and as the Vice President of Finance at Cal Poly Iter8. Jake also worked as a Student Photographer for Associated Students Inc. at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo.

Throughout their work experiences, Jake has demonstrated versatility, leadership, and organizational skills.

Jake MacConnell attended California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo from 2020 to 2024, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Graphic Communication with a concentration in User Experience/User Interface. In addition to their degree, they obtained certifications in Learning Motion Graphics and Learning Video Production and Editing from LinkedIn in 2024.
