Mike MacIej

Mike Maciej has extensive work experience in software engineering and management roles. Mike began their career at McQuay International, where they worked as a Software Engineer, developing HVAC embedded controls using C-Language and collaborating with customers to develop custom control software. Mike then joined Kroll Ontrack as a Software Engineer, where they provided project management and supervision for software engineers working on the Disk Manager/DiscWizard products.

After that, Mike joined Spanlink Communications, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer and later became a Software Engineering Manager, overseeing product development and support activities. At Calabrio, Inc., they worked as a Software Engineering Manager and eventually became the Director of Product Engineering, responsible for directing the innovation of WFO and Analytics products. Mike managed multiple product teams and utilized Waterfall and Agile development methods.

After a brief period at Target as a Senior Engineering Manager, Mike returned to Calabrio, Inc. as a Senior Principal Strategist. In this role, they focused on forward-looking strategy and research, especially in areas such as data analytics, machine learning (ML), and artificial intelligence (AI) in contact centers, with an emphasis on Generative AI.

Mike Maciej attended Southwest Minnesota State University from 1987 to 1991, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics with a minor in Computer Science.
