Greg Newton has extensive experience in the hospitality and event management industry, currently serving as the Executive Vice President and General Manager of the BMO Centre at The Calgary Stampede since February 2012. In this role, Greg leads the development and implementation of strategic plans to enhance the economic impact, client experience, and market presence of the convention center, while promoting the Calgary Stampede brand. Previous positions include Director of Business Development, Manager of Sales and Event Management, and Manager of Sales Development at The Calgary Stampede, as well as Associate Director of Sales at the Ottawa Convention Centre and Sales Manager roles at Crowne Plaza Ottawa, Hyatt Regency Calgary, and Rimrock Resort Hotel. Greg holds a degree from Sheridan College, attended from 1996 to 1998.
