Sheil Dharan

Sheil Dharan has an impressive work experience. In 2022, they started as an Earth Systems Research Intern at NASA Texas Space Grant Consortium, where they collected data and used analysis tools such as ArcGIS and Google Earth Engine. They then became a Space Biology Paid Research Intern at NASA Ames Research Center, where they applied computational biology methods to analyze datasets. In 2023, they worked as a Glass Lab Research Intern at Georgia Institute of Technology, conducting research on methane formation. They also participated in various programs, including the United Community leadership program, the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) as Chapter President and Vice President of Competition, and the Economics for Leaders program at the Foundation for Teaching Economics. Additionally, Sheil was selected as a speaker at The Global Health Leaders Conference at Johns Hopkins University. They also attended the Remote Sensing for Disaster Response program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Overall, Sheil has gained diverse experience in research, leadership, and civic engagement.

Sheil Dharan completed high school at Denmark High School from 2020 to 2024, obtaining a High School Diploma. During this time, Sheil also enrolled in dual enrollment courses at the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2022 to 2024. In terms of additional certifications, Sheil achieved the following:

1. In May 2023, Sheil was selected as a finalist for the Intuit Social Innovation Challenge, an achievement obtained from Intuit.

2. In April 2023, Sheil obtained certifications in Git and Github, Python Core, and Remote Sensing for Disaster Response from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

3. In May 2022, Sheil received the MTA: Introduction to Programming Using Java certification from Microsoft.

4. In April 2022, Sheil obtained the MTA: Software Development Fundamentals certification from Microsoft.

5. In March 2022, Sheil achieved the MTA: Introduction to Programming Using Python certification from Microsoft.

6. In January 2021, Sheil obtained the MTA: Introduction to Programming Using JavaScript certification from Microsoft.

7. In January 2021, Sheil achieved the Microsoft Office Specialist: PowerPoint Associate certification (Office 2019) from Microsoft.
