Tara Burns

Tara Burns is an experienced Community Programs Manager at the California Institute of the Arts, overseeing various community education programs and managing up to 25 instructors. Burns has a proven track record of collaboration with local stakeholders, curriculum design, and program evaluation. Previously, Burns worked as an Educator at the Hammer Museum, where more than 20 community programs were designed annually, and also served as an Associate Educator at the Skirball Cultural Center, focusing on professional development for teachers. Early career experience includes roles at the Hammer Museum in curatorial support and at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art as an Administrative Assistant. Tara Burns holds a Master of Arts in Educational Studies from Loyola Marymount University and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Barnard College.
