Veronica Alvarez

Wallis Annenberg Executive Director, Community Arts Partnership at California Institute of the Arts

Veronica Alvarez has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of arts and education. Veronica most recently served as the Wallis Annenberg Executive Director of Community Arts Partnership at the California Institute of the Arts. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of School & Teacher Programs at LACMA for five years. Veronica also held positions at the J. Paul Getty Museum as an Education Specialist for Teacher Audiences, UCLA as a Curriculum Consultant, and the Kennedy Center as a Consultant/Writer. In these roles, they focused on creating curricula, implementing professional development workshops, and writing content for educational programs. Their expertise lies in utilizing art to enhance teaching and learning experiences.

Veronica Alvarez completed their Ed.D. in Educational Leadership for Social Justice at Loyola Marymount University from 2015 to 2018. Earlier, they earned their MA in Ancient History from California State University, Northridge, from 1997 to 1999.
