Janeva Sorenson, BS, CHES has a diverse work experience, beginning with their role as a Cocktail Waitress at Tavernacle Social Club in 2010. In 2012, they held multiple roles, including Student Community Health Program Planner at the University of Utah, Activities Officer at Eta Phi Epsilon Health Honorary Society, Teaching Intern at CHOICE Humanitarian Nepal, and Refugee Health Mentor at the International Rescue Committee. Janeva also volunteered as a Disaster Services Volunteer at the American Red Cross and as a Front Desk Volunteer at the YWCA Salt Lake City Family Justice Center. In 2013, they worked as a Wilderness Therapy Guide at Aspiro - High Adventure Program, and from 2015 to 2017, they were a Community Health Educator at the Peace Corps. Most recently, they have been a Project Coordinator at the California Rural Indian Health Board.
Janeva Sorenson obtained their Bachelor of Science in Public Health Education and Promotion from the University of Utah in 2013. In June 2013, they became a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) through the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA).
