Sophie S. is currently a Student Fellow at CalMatters, where responsibilities include writing short- and long-form stories about California. Additionally, Sophie serves as a Weekends and Special Projects Broadcast Intern at NBCLA, alongside roles at USC Annenberg Media as Executive Editor, Radio Host, Editor, and News Anchor, contributing to a news broadcast with a substantial online reach. As a Multimedia Journalist, Sophie produces news packages and audio narratives for Annenberg Radio News. Research work as a Research Fellow at the Ahmanson Lab focuses on disinformation impacts in digital extremism. Previous roles also include serving as Executive Aide to the President within USC's Undergraduate Student Government and as Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for USC Helenes. Sophie's educational background includes pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism at the University of Southern California and participating in the Medill-Northwestern Journalism Institute.
