Gustav Erasmus has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several prominent companies. Gustav started their career at Nedcor as a Manager of IT Audit, where they worked from 1997 to 1998. Gustav then joined Nedbank Limited, where they held various roles including IT Process Manager and Card Conversions Process and Support Manager. In 2005, Gustav worked as an Executive Advisor for Information Risk Management at KPMG LLP (UK). Gustav then moved to KPMG in Canada, where they served as a Senior Manager of Advisory Services from 2006 to 2011, providing IT Risk Management and Business Process Improvement advisory to private and public sector clients. Gustav also held a volunteer position as a Chapter VP at the Saskatchewan chapter of the IIA from 2007 to 2012. Currently, Gustav is the Director of IT Governance, Risk and Compliance at Cameco Corporation, overseeing departments such as IT Security Management, Program Management, and Corporate Records Management.

Gustav Erasmus completed their education starting in 1983 at the University of the Free State, where they obtained a B Compt degree in Accounting/Auditing in 1986. In 1993, they attended the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika and earned an Hons B Compt degree in Accounting, Income Tax, and Auditing. Later, in 2007, Gustav obtained the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification from the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA). In 2009, they earned the Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT) certification, and in 2010, they obtained the Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) certification, both from ISACA.
