Clayton Hurd

Clayton Hurd is an experienced academic currently serving as a Lecturer and Director of Community-Engaged Research at Stanford University, where responsibilities include teaching courses in Urban Studies and Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity, as well as directing multiple fellowship programs focused on community engagement. Hurd maintains a role as Publications Lead and Director of Professional Learning & Engaged Scholarship at Campus Compact, having previously held the position of Co-Editor for the International Journal of Research on Service-Learning and Community Engagement. Earlier roles include Senior Program Director at Stanford University and Director of the Center for Service-Learning at the College of Coastal Georgia. Hurd's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Cultural Anthropology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and a Bachelor's degree in Development Studies from Trinity College-Hartford.
