Michael Chiu

Michael Chiu, CFA, CPA, CA, currently serves as Vice President of Investments and Director of Corporate Development at Canaccede Financial Group since March 2016, focusing on corporate development activities including asset purchases and market monitoring. Previously, Michael held positions at UBS as Associate Director in Investment Banking, covering Telecom, Media, and Technology in 2015, and as an Associate at HSBC from 2011 to 2015, where corporate finance advisory included mergers and acquisitions with a total value exceeding $50 billion. Earlier experience includes roles at Mackie Research Capital in Equity Research, BMO Capital Markets in Client Analytics, and Ernst & Young as Senior Staff Accountant. Michael earned a Master of Finance from the Rotman School of Management and a BBA from the University of Toronto.
