Steve Dawson is a Senior Learning Facilitator at Canada Learning Code. Prior to their current position, they worked as a freelance video editor for various production companies from January 2017 to April 2018. In this role, they coordinated and facilitated numerous regional food security and food literacy initiatives and events. Steve also co-designed the Southeast New Brunswick Regional Food Pledge and Action Guide and wrote various reports, press releases, policy advocacy documents, and articles. Furthermore, Steve Dawson interviewed, networked, and communicated with relevant local food system stakeholders and spoke on behalf of the Greater Moncton United Way at several fundraising engagements. From July 2016 to December 2016, they worked as a Community Connector for Our Food Southeast NB where they coordinated and facilitated numerous regional food security and food literacy initiatives and events. Prior to their work in the food industry, Steve Dawson was a Senior Video Editor at The PostMan Post-Production Studio from January 2010 to May 2016.

Steve Dawson studied psychology at Dalhousie University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree. Steve also holds a certificate in video production arts from Nova Scotia Community College - NSCC.
