Ali Shamaei

Ali Shamaei is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in data analytics, engineering, and architecture across prominent financial institutions. Currently serving as the Director and Head of Data Analytics & AI Architecture at Canada Life since February 2024, Ali spearheads efforts to leverage cutting-edge technologies such as the Azure AI platform to enhance revenue and customer experiences. Previous roles include Director and Head of Data Engineering, Architecture & Analytics at Scotiabank, where Ali led a diverse team to deliver over 200 data projects, and various senior IT management positions at TD, focusing on Wealth Management and Personal Banking data strategies. Ali's earlier experience encompasses technology leadership roles at Bank of America, Vodafone, and Wellington IT Solutions, complemented by a strong educational background with a Master of Science in Management Information Systems from Trinity College Dublin and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering from Technological University Dublin.
