Barbara Fanning

Barbara Fanning, MLS, MBA, has extensive experience in prospect research and advancement services, currently serving as the Director of Prospect Research at the Canadian Cancer Society since 2019. Prior roles include Director of Advancement Services at the Art Gallery of Ontario from 2017 to 2019, and Director of Research Services at SickKids Foundation from 2006 to 2017. Additionally, Barbara was the Director of Development Research and Strategic Analysis at University Health Network from 2000 to 2006 and served as Associate Manager of Advancement Research at the University of Toronto from 1993 to 1999. Barbara holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Ivey Business School at Western University, obtained between 2013 and 2014, and has a background in library science from the University of Toronto, where education took place from 1991 to 1992.
