Doug Fowler

Doug Fowler is a prominent professor at the University of Washington, serving as the Director of the Center for the Multiplexed Assessment of Phenotype, which is a Center of Excellence in Genome Sciences supported by a substantial award from the National Human Genome Research Institute. In addition to their role at the University, Doug is a founder and co-chair of the Atlas of Variant Effects Alliance, collaborating with over 400 researchers to develop a comprehensive map of human genetic variation effects. Doug also holds the position of Azireli Global Scholar at the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research. Doug's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Scripps Research and a BA in Chemistry from Northwestern University, alongside previous roles as an associate and assistant professor and a postdoctoral fellow.
