Fiona Cunningham

Fiona Cunningham has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Fiona started their career as a Field Application Specialist at New England Biolabs in 2011 and worked there until 2013. Fiona then joined Mitacs as the Director of Business Development in 2013 and successfully grew the organization's business in the region over a span of five years. In 2018, Fiona moved to CIFAR, where they initially served as the Director of Innovation until 2021. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Research at CIFAR, where they are responsible for managing research programs, departmental operations, strategic planning, organizational partnerships, and cross-institute initiatives. Fiona plays a crucial role in advancing CIFAR's research portfolio and driving collaboration with research organizations, partners, and donors.

Fiona Cunningham holds an Hon. B.Sc. in Biochemistry from Western University. Furthermore, they have pursued a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Toronto.
