Francisco Gil Villen is a seasoned compliance expert with extensive experience in the financial and solar energy sectors. Currently serving as Sr. Global Compliance Manager at Canadian Solar Inc. since February 2020, Francisco has developed a strong background in legal and compliance roles, previously holding key positions at Santander España Merchant Serv as Legal and Compliance Head and at Santander Elavon Merchant Services as Legal, Compliance and Risk Director. Additionally, Francisco has held various compliance management roles at MoneyGram International, MetLife, Citigroup, and has a foundational career in auditing with Emilio Lillo, Auditores SL and KPMG España. Educated at IE Business School with an Executive MBA and Universidad Complutense de Madrid with a degree in law, Francisco also holds qualifications as an Auditor Censor Jurado de Cuentas.
