Cerys Jenkins has a diverse work experience spanning across various roles and industries. Cerys is currently a Co-Founder and Director at CanSense since March 2018. In 2020, they joined Pharmatelligence Limited as an Innovations Lead. Cerys also served as a Research Data Scientist at Pharmatelligence Limited from October 2020 to April 2021.

Prior to that, Cerys Jenkins worked at Swansea University, where they held multiple positions. Cerys was a Research Officer, specializing in Raman for colorectal cancer diagnosis, from November 2018 to October 2020. Cerys also pursued their PhD in Raman Spectroscopy for Cancer diagnostics at Swansea University, focusing on the development of machine learning analysis methods combined with analytical chemistry techniques for early cancer detection. Additionally, they worked as a Research Assistant at Swansea University from May 2017 to October 2017.

Cerys Jenkins also gained research experience at the University of Strathclyde, where they were a Research Assistant from October 2017 to November 2018.

Earlier in their career, they were a Financial Assistant at Celtic Technologies in 2010 and interned at PwC in 2013.

Cerys Jenkins started their academic journey at Swansea University in 2010 as a student, where they conducted self-driven theoretical research, including complex mathematics and statistical modeling. Cerys gained programming skills in languages such as C and VisualBasic and became proficient in using Mathematica.

Throughout their career, Cerys Jenkins has received recognition for their outstanding contributions, including the Herald Scotland Global Game Changers Women in Innovation award in 2018 and the Outstanding Research and Innovation Collaboration award at Swansea University Innovation awards in 2020.

Cerys Jenkins attended Swansea University from 2010 to 2014, where they pursued a degree in Physics and obtained an MPhys degree. In addition to their formal education, they have also obtained several certifications in various topics related to document management, CAPA management, design controls, nonconformance management, and training management. These certifications were obtained from Greenlight Guru in November 2022. Cerys has also obtained a certification in training management specifically in the medical device industry from Greenlight Guru in the same month and year.
