Charlyn Hilliman is the Vice President of Academic Enrichment & Learner Support at Capella University. Charlyn has dedicated their career to working in higher education, with a focus on health information technology.

Hilliman began their career in 2011 as the Director of Health Information Technology at Florida International University. In this role, they were responsible for communicating IT plans and policies throughout the FIU HealthCare Network organization. In 2012, Hilliman transitioned to their current role at Capella University. In this role, they are responsible for overseeing the academic enrichment and learner support programs at the university. Dr. Charlyn Hilliman has a PhD in Criminal Justice from the Graduate Center at City University of New York. Charlyn also has a Master of Philosophy in Criminal Justice from the Graduate Center and a MPA from John Jay College (CUNY). Charlyn has a BS in Computer Information Systems and Public Administration from John Jay College (CUNY). Charlyn is also certified in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace by USF Corporate Training and Professional Education, as well as in Business Analytics Foundations: Descriptive, Exploratory, and Explanatory Analytics and Predictive Analytics Essential Training for Executives by LinkedIn.

They are on a team with Joshua Stanley - Dean, School of Social & Behavioral Sciences, Heather Welzant - Dean, School of Public Service & Education, and Jennifer Straub - Interim Dean, School of Business, Technology, & Health Care Administration. Charlyn Hilliman reports to Constance St. Germain, Provost & SVP, Academic Affairs.
