Ashley Bentley is the current Manager of Student Affairs at Capilano University. Ashley has held this position since June 2019. Prior to this, they were the Student Rights and Responsibilities Advisor at the same university from January 2018 to March 2019. Before that, they were an Education Consultant at the Ending Violence Association of BC from April 2019 to September 2019.
Before their work in education, Ashley was a Manager at the AMS Sexual Assault Support Centre (SASC) at the University of British Columbia from November 2014 to October 2016. During their time there, they oversaw a team of 12 case managers who provided support to survivors of sexual assault. Ashley was also the Assistant Manager at SASC from January 2013 to November 2014. In this role, they provided direct support to survivors of sexual assault and oversaw the training of new volunteers.
Ashley began their career as a Case Manager at Open Door Group-Work BC in August 2012, where they helped clients find and keep employment. Ashley has also worked as an independent consultant.
Ashley Bentley has a Masters of Education from Simon Fraser University and a Bachelors from Southampton Solent University in England.
Their manager is Daniel Levangie, AVP, Student Success. Ashley Bentley works with Keith Lam - Acting Coordinator, Counselling Services, Nancy Ng - Manager, Career Development Centre.
