Marcus A. Guerrero has a strong background in architecture and project management, with experience in various industries. Marcus A. has worked as a Director of Facilities Expansion at Austin Transit Partnership, overseeing the design and construction of new light rail facilities. Guerrero also served as a Transit Architect and Program/Project Manager at Capital Metro, where they managed and delivered public transit projects for the Austin community. Additionally, they worked as a Project Manager/Architect at Texas Health and Human Services, overseeing maintenance and construction projects for mental health hospitals and aging/disabled living facilities. Earlier in their career, Guerrero held positions as a Transit Architect/Project Manager at STV Incorporated, where they worked on commuter rail expansion projects, and as a Project Manager/Architect at Williams Architects, Inc., where they worked on various projects including animal shelters and office buildings. Prior to that, they worked as an Architectural Designer and Job Captain at Stratos Form, focusing on custom residential and commercial projects. Currently, Guerrero is the Director of New Facility Development at CapMetro, leading the design, construction, and NEPA clearance for new transit support facilities in Austin, including projects under the Project Connect expansion program.
Marcus A. Guerrero - AIA, PMP, LEED AP earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona in 2002. Marcus A. has also obtained additional certifications including Architect - State of California and Architect - State of Texas from their respective licensing boards, as well as the LEED Accredited Professional certification from the USGBC and the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
