Shaughn Nalezinski, MS, MLS(ASCP)SBB, MLS(AMT), has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Currently, they hold the role of Lead Medical Laboratory Scientist - Blood Bank at Concord Hospital Health System since September 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Medical Laboratory Scientist and Legal Blood Draw Specialist at the same organization. Additionally, they served as a Clinical Laboratory Assistant at Concord Hospital Health System from December 2014 to April 2018.

Nalezinski's educational journey will continue as they plan to pursue a Doctor of Clinical Laboratory Science (DCLS) degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch.

Additionally, Nalezinski has obtained various certifications throughout their education and career. They hold certifications as a Specialist in Blood Banking (ASCP-SBB) from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) since February 2022, a Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP-MLS) since September 2021, and a Medical Laboratory Scientist from the American Medical Technologists since November 2018. Nalezinski also holds certifications as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) since May 2018 and as a Technologist in Blood Banking (ASCP-BB) since November 2019. Furthermore, Nalezinski has been a member of the membership committee at AABB (formerly known as the American Association of Blood Banks) since January 2022.
