Senior Director, Clinical Programs at Capital Rx

Bonnie Hui-Callahan, PharmD, CDCES has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Bonnie is currently serving as the Director of Clinical Programs at Capital Rx, where they are responsible for overseeing clinical programs. Prior to this role, Bonnie worked as a Senior Clinical Programs Manager at Capital Rx.

In addition to their role at Capital Rx, Bonnie is also the Co-Founder of The Clinician-Leader, a company that helps clinicians develop their leadership skills through virtual bootcamps, digital courses, coaching, and speaking engagements.

Bonnie has also worked as a Career Coach at Pharmacy Career Coach since 2019, where they specialize in helping pharmacists navigate the job market and transition into other fields.

Before their coaching role, Bonnie served as the Assistant Director of Experiential Education at Chapman University School of Pharmacy, where they established partnerships with healthcare entities and facilitated student learning experiences.

In the earlier years of their career, Bonnie worked at UnitedHealth Group as a Clinical Pharmacist in Clinical Programs Management. Bonnie managed clinical products focused on diabetes, adherence, and cost management, and worked closely with cross-functional teams to develop and market these products to external clients.

Bonnie also gained experience at Kroger, where they worked as a Pharmacy Manager and a District Clinical Coordinator. Bonnie started their career as a Pharmacist at Ralphs Grocery Company and also worked as an Intern Pharmacist (Outpatient) at Kaiser Permanente.

Throughout their career, Bonnie has acquired a wide range of skills and expertise in clinical programs management, leadership development, coaching, and pharmacy practice.

Bonnie Hui-Callahan, PharmD, CDCES, obtained a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from the University of Southern California in 2010. Bonnie also holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology, TAPP from the same university, which they completed in 2006. In 2012, they completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency at the University of Cincinnati/Kroger. Bonnie has additional certifications, including a Certificate of Travel Health from the American Pharmacists Association and a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) certification from the National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators, obtained in 2016 and 2013 respectively.
