Wendy McDermott

Wendy McDermott has extensive work experience in the finance field. Wendy started their career at Iron Ore Company of Canada as a Financial Manager in 1993 and worked there until 2000. After that, they joined EPCOR as a Senior Financial Manager and worked there from 2001 to 2009. Wendy then moved on to Capital Power, where they held several senior management roles. Wendy started as a Senior Manager in Financial Services from 2009 to 2011, then transitioned to Senior Manager of Business Analysis from 2012 to 2017. From 2017 to 2022, Wendy served as a Senior Manager of Compensation. Their most recent role at Capital Power is Senior Finance Transformation Manager, which they started in July 2022.

Wendy McDermott has obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree with a focus on Accounting and Finance from Memorial University of Newfoundland. Additionally, they have pursued further education at The Society of Certified Management Accountants, where they obtained a CMA qualification.
