Hari Acharya

Hari Acharya is an experienced scientist with a robust background in chemical engineering and bioprocess development. Currently serving as a Scientist at Capsida Biotherapeutics since April 2021, Hari leads the Upstream Manufacturing Sciences team in the development and implementation of process improvements for gene therapy and fermentation products. Previous roles include Scientist at BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc., where Hari contributed to process improvements, and Process Engineer positions at Bayer and Wyeth, focusing on manufacturing processes and supporting product launches. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University.
