David Wahlen

David Wahlen began their work experience in 2005 as a Sales & Marketing Intern at PGA TOUR. David then worked at Octagon as an Account Executive from September 2006 to April 2008. Later, they served as a Senior Account Executive at Octagon from April 2008 to January 2011, co-managing the "Lexus Champions for Charity" program. David joined IMG as a Senior Account Manager from April 2012 to December 2014. David worked at Hatteras Funds as a Vice President of Events from January 2015 to July 2015, and as a Senior Regional Associate from July 2015 to May 2018. Currently, they are employed at CAPTRUST, where they started as a Senior Associate in Recruiting & Acquisitions in May 2018. David was promoted to Manager in the same department in January 2022.

David Wahlen attended The Morgan School from 1998 to 2002 and obtained a high school diploma. Following that, they studied at Sacred Heart University from 2002 to 2006. During their time at Sacred Heart University, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Sport Management. After completing their formal education, David obtained several certifications. In 2015, they received the Series 66 certification from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), as well as the CAIA Fundamentals of Alternative Investment Certificate from the CAIA Association. Additionally, David obtained the Series 7 certification from FINRA in the same year. Most recently, in 2022, they obtained the Certified Merger and Acquisition Advisor (CM&AA) certification from the Alliance of M&A Advisors.
