Maya Kashapov

Maya Kashapov's work experience includes:

- Currently working at Captura as a Business Development specialist. They are involved in various areas such as finance, market strategy, commercialization, investor relations, project deployment, public relations, communications, marketing, and administration. Captura combats climate change by utilizing the ocean to remove CO2 from the atmosphere.

- Participated in the Climatebase Fellowship, a career accelerator program focused on climate tech. This fellowship helped gain a deeper understanding of the climate industry landscape and connected with companies, startups, and non-profits.

- Previously worked as a Social Media Marketing & Talent Acquisition Intern at Equifax in 2019.

- Worked as an AppleCare Advisor at Apple in 2018.

Maya Kashapov has a diverse education history. In 2021, they attended the Columbia Climate School, where they pursued a Master of Arts degree in Climate Change. Prior to that, from 2016 to 2020, they studied at The University of Georgia, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Affairs. During their time at The University of Georgia, Maya also completed a certificate program in Sustainability at the Odum School of Ecology and a minor in Russian at the Department of Germanic and Slavic Studies. Additionally, in 2019 and 2020, Maya Kashapov attended Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam). In terms of additional certifications, Maya obtained a certification in Climate Change: Carbon Capture and Storage from edX in April 2021.
