Maya Kashapov has a diverse education history. In 2021, they attended the Columbia Climate School, where they pursued a Master of Arts degree in Climate Change. Prior to that, from 2016 to 2020, they studied at The University of Georgia, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Affairs. During their time at The University of Georgia, Maya also completed a certificate program in Sustainability at the Odum School of Ecology and a minor in Russian at the Department of Germanic and Slavic Studies. Additionally, in 2019 and 2020, Maya Kashapov attended Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam). In terms of additional certifications, Maya obtained a certification in Climate Change: Carbon Capture and Storage from edX in April 2021.
