Project Chemist at Carbogen Amcis

Thomas Fallows has a diverse work experience starting from January 2012 to present. Thomas began as an English Teacher at Pao Tong Shu Primary School West Campus from September 2012 to January 2013. Thomas then worked as an English Teacher at Xinwang School from February 2013 to July 2013. Simultaneously, they pursued their PhD in Nanoscience at The University of Manchester from September 2013 to January 2018, where they also completed a Commercialisation Of Research course taught by the Business School. During their PhD, they were a Visiting Researcher at UNSW from February 2017 to March 2017, analyzing magnetic nanoparticles with various techniques. After completing their PhD, they worked as a Rider for Deliveroo from September 2017 to February 2018, managing their schedule strictly and working to tight deadlines. Thomas then became a Postdoctoral Researcher at The University of Manchester from March 2018 to March 2019, participating in a Knowledge Transfer Partnership with DataLase Ltd and developing novel stimuli-responsive coatings for laser printing. Thomas then moved to Ossila Ltd, where they worked as a Quantum Dot Chemist from June 2019 to October 2020. From November 2020 to June 2022, they worked as a Synthetic Organic Chemist at Apollo Scientific Ltd. Currently, they are employed at CARBOGEN AMCIS as a Project Chemist starting from July 2022.

Thomas Fallows attended St. Theodore's RC High School from 2001 to 2006, where they earned their GCSEs. Thomas then went on to Clitheroe Royal Grammar School Sixth Form from 2006 to 2008, where they completed their A Levels. Following this, Thomas enrolled at The University of Manchester from 2008 to 2012, obtaining an MChem (Hons) degree in Chemistry. In 2010, they also spent a year studying abroad at The University of Göttingen as part of the Erasmus program.
