Miles Abarr

VP, Research & Development at Carbon America

Miles leads the Carbon America R&D effort to develop new carbon capture technologies. His background is in techno-economic modeling and optimization of clean energy systems, dynamic model development of thermo-fluid systems and components, experimental design and validation, and development of new clean energy technologies. He invented several utility-scale energy storage and carbon capture systems and subsystem concepts. In his time off Miles enjoys some friendly golf competitions, a beautiful trail to bike or hike, and a good meal with friends and family. He has a BS in Aerospace Engineering from the University of California, San Diego, and an MS and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
