Jessie Overton, DVM, MPH, currently serves as an Associate Veterinarian at Care First Animal Hospital since May 2023. Previously, Jessie was a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Candidate at CSU College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences from August 2019 to May 2023. Jessie contributed to the USDA-FSIS as a USDA Adel A. Malak Scholar, assisting in livestock and poultry examinations. Additional experience includes roles at the Colorado School of Public Health, where Jessie obtained a Master of Public Health, and at USDA APHIS as a Student Trainee. Jessie has also held positions as a Veterinary Assistant at Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital and as an Animal Care Technician at Purdue University Veterinary Teaching Laboratory. Jessie earned a Bachelor of Science in Pre-Veterinary Studies, Biology from Purdue University and completed high school at Huntington North High School.
