Roman Atachiants is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in data architecture, machine learning, and software development. Currently serving as a Principal Software Engineer - Data & AI at Careem, Roman leads efforts in building experimentation and machine learning platforms. Prior roles include Head of Data Science at AirAsia, where Roman developed a comprehensive Data Science platform, and multiple senior positions at Grab, focusing on transport technology and experimentation. Roman co-founded emitter.io, an open-source serverless platform, and founded Misakai Ltd. with a product centered on real-time networking. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Trinity College Dublin and multiple degrees in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science from Maastricht University and HEPL.
