Brian Sears

Brian Sears is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in full-stack development. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at CARFAX since November 2014, Brian focuses on building front-end applications for the dealer side of the business, utilizing both on-premises and cloud technologies, particularly AWS. Prior to CARFAX, Brian held various roles at DST Systems from May 1999 to November 2014, including senior positions in software development and maintenance with a strong emphasis on COBOL batch processes and front-end technologies. Notably, Brian was the lead Android developer for the 'TreeSwing' investing application. Brian began the career in software development at the State of Missouri's Office of Administration, specializing in COBOL for batch processes. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Information Sciences from Columbia College and an Associate of Science in Pre-Engineering from Moberly Area Community College.
