Michael Holzner

Michael Holzner has a diverse work experience in finance and accounting roles within the Carl Zeiss group. Michael began their career as a SAP CO consultant at Carl Zeiss AG in 1996. From 2002 to 2010, they worked as a Senior Controller at Carl Zeiss SMT AG. Michael then moved on to Carl Zeiss SMT GmbH, where they served as a Senior Manager Operational Controlling from 2010 to 2015. In 2015, they took on the role of Director Finance&Controlling Field of Business EUV at Carl Zeiss SMT GmbH, where they were responsible for the financial aspects of the business. Michael also held the position of Director Finance & Controlling Competence Center Jena at Carl Zeiss Meditec AG, starting in 2016. Currently, they serve as the Head of Finance & Accounting at Carl Zeiss Meditec AG.

Michael Holzner received a Diplom-Betriebswirt (Berufsakademie) degree in Business Information Systems from Berufsakademie Heidenheim in 1996. In 2014, they completed a Master of Business Administration (UofL) in International business and entrepreneurship from the University of Louisville. Michael also has additional certifications in International Accounting (CINA) from Akademie für Internationale Rechnungslegung and in the LEAD program from Harvard Business Publishing Boston/USA.
