Gerardo Luna is the current Chief Financial Officer at Carlos Rosario International Public School. Prior to this, they served as the VP Finance at American Academy of Physician Assistants from January 2011 to April 2012, where they were responsible for all finance and grants management aspects of the $20M organization. Some of their selected accomplishments include completing the implementation of several financial systems and revised and instituted new financial closing procedures which reduced the amount of time to produce financial statements and other reporting.

From 2006 to 2010, Gerardo Luna served as the Chief Financial Officer & Executive Director of Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Mid. In this role, they were responsible for all finance, administration, human resources, and information technology departments including budgeting, board reporting, audit preparation and planning (internal & external), administrative functions and IT planning & implementation for the $5.5M organization. Some of their selected accomplishments from this time include completing the implementation of financial and fundraising systems including streamlining and implementing accounting and data integrity processes and procedures, in conjunction with HR updated the employee handbook and instituted new HR and payroll systems.

Gerardo Luna has a Master's degree in Executive Leadership from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting from The University of Texas at El Paso. Gerardo is also certified as a Certified Public Accountant from the State of VA.

They are on a team with Karen Rivas - Principal, Sonia Gutierrez Campus, Patricio Sanchez - Accountability Director, and Hollyann Freso - Moore - Principal, Harvard Street Campus. Gerardo Luna reports to Allison R. Kokkoros, CEO.
