Kacper Mentel

Kacper Mentel is a Senior Software Engineer with a diverse work experience in various technology companies. Kacper is currently working at Carma Project, Inc. as part of the core engineering team developing a real-time car finding platform. Kacper'sgoal is to help grow the business by delivering correct and high-quality solutions quickly.

Prior to their current role, Kacper worked at BlockFi as a Senior Software Engineer. Kacper actively participated in developing and maintaining the Trading service and was responsible for delivering complete projects and analyzing production issues.

Kacper also served as a Tech Lead at BlockFi, where they made technical decisions, conducted code reviews, supported and mentored team members, managed the team and the product.

Earlier in their career, Kacper worked at Erlang Solutions as an Erlang/Elixir Developer. Kacper worked on the MongooseIM project, focusing on performance and scalability in Erlang. Later, they moved to an Elixir team and developed an Elixir system for load test automation.

Kacper's experience also includes participating in the Google Summer of Code as a student under BEAM Community. Kacper worked on the Erlang Performance Lab project, implementing a plugin for ETS tables.

Before that, they worked at Maneuver as a Full-stack Developer, contributing to the development of a complex WWW service. Kacper worked as a PHP backend developer and also assisted with frontend work when needed.

Kacper started their career as a Network and IT System Administrator Assistant at AGH University of Science and Technology. Kacper managed systems, servers, and services for both students and department employees in the IISG group at the IT Department.

Kacper Mentel pursued their education from 2014 to 2018 at AGH University of Science and Technology, where they obtained a degree in Inżynier (Inż.) in the field of study Teleinformatyka. In addition, in February 2018, they obtained a certification in Advanced Erlang Techniques from Erlang Solutions.
